Recently, Sony’s innovation program has launched a crowdfunding campaign for REON POCKET, a “human body external air conditioner” that can be controlled by a mobile phone to adjust the temperature. When worn on the body, it can keep your body warm in winter and cool in summer.
This set of wearable devices called REON POCKET is compact in appearance. As long as you wear special underwear and put the REON POCKET in the small bag on the back of your neck, you can control the device through your mobile phone to generate a cold or warm sensation, making your body feel Comfortable temperature.
It is reported that REON POCKET fully adopts Sony’s thermal design technology. After hundreds of simulation tests, the underwear itself also has the effect of improving comfort. REON POCKET can reduce the user’s surface temperature by 13 degrees Celsius in summer and increase the user’s surface temperature by 8.3 degrees Celsius in winter. Since the device is not too thick, it is inconspicuous even when wearing a shirt or suit.
REON POCKET has two models. The standard model can use manual, automatic and customized modes, and has air volume adjustment function, while the light model only has manual mode. Both models weigh about 85g and measure about 54 x 20 x 116mm. They support Bluetooth 5.0 LE to connect to mobile phones. The built-in lithium battery can be used for about 24 hours. USB-C charging takes about two hours.
