Four students from the Robotics and Engineering Group at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands came up with the idea to develop the “Somnox” peanut-shaped pillow to help insomniacs get a good night’s sleep.

Somnox peanut-shaped pillow solves insomnia

Somnox’s peanut-shaped pillow does this by measuring your breathing rate and then creating its own smooth breathing rhythm.

Your body will automatically follow this breathing rhythm to help you relax and sleep peacefully. You can curl up with it and sleep until dawn.

By using multiple highly sensitive sensors to collect information, this data can be used to determine whether you are awake or in deep sleep.

The pillow’s artificial intelligence algorithm can interpret this data to create tailored treatments. Record your sleep state and adjust its rhythm to a peaceful state. Create a breathing simulation based on the user’s breathing behavior at night.
