Can you imagine the most expensive hotel, how much does it cost to sleep for one night? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to sleep a night among the bright stars? A company called Orion Span has already taken the lead in opening the first space hotel in human history, Aurora Station.
The hotel, located 322 kilometers above the earth, will fly at high speed in low-Earth orbit, where you can see the aurora and the boundless darkness with your own eyes.
Measuring 13.3 meters long and 4.3 meters in diameter, the Aurora Station Hotel is about the same size as the cabin of a large private jet. It can accommodate 2 crew members in addition to 6 guests.
Because the space station orbits the Earth every 90 minutes, users can also experience the scene mentioned in “The Little Prince”: seeing 16 sunrises and sunsets every 24 hours.
Of course, such a hotel is not cheap.
Customers need to pay a prepayment of US$80,000 before checking into the hotel, and the starting price for travel expenses is US$9.5 million per person.
After guests check in, they will embark on a 12-day journey into space.
Frank Bunger, CEO of Orion Span, said: Launching and re-entering the atmosphere are actually not suitable for people with weak hearts.
